Hello Sharee, tell us about your journey and how you became who you are today.
I am originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, I always dreamed of becoming a supermodel and actress. By the time I was 12 I started competing in pageants, in hopes this would help me gain recognition to get signed. Although competing in pageants wasn’t the direct reason I got signed, it still helped me tremendously on my journey. Pageants helped me gain confidence in public speaking, make-up lessons, runway coaching, media training, and on-stage presence. All of these were vital in becoming the superstar I dreamt of being.
What inspired you to become a Model?
Being from such a small town, I was always looked at funny for my style/outfits but yet was still complimented and asked where my pieces were from. From a young age, fashion became my way of expression. I would go to thrift stores with my mawmaw and find one-of-a-kind pieces. Whether I would cut, distress, or add fabric, I always found ways to make it my own. After moving to LA I felt I could finally be free in my expression without judgment. I love to inspire others through my art and help them have the confidence to freely be themselves. Whether it’s wearing crazy colors or nonconventional styles, I love to see people thrive in their uniqueness.
What message do you want to leave people with when it’s all said and done? What do you want people to remember you for?
I’m extremely spiritual-my job on earth is to inspire others to follow their passions by being themselves. In a world full of fakes or people trying to be like the next person- originality is where you win! I want people to remember me as someone who always saw the best in people, someone who always rooted for people to win, in every aspect of life. Someone who cherished family before anything else, and someone who used their spiritual powers to positively impact each soul they meet. I love to put a smile on others’ faces!
What have you learned about yourself since you became an influencer?
I learned that I had the sauce all along. Looking back I used to get teased for not having Jordan’s or having my own style when all along I was already dripped out LOL . I learned to trust myself, and MY own personal vision. If it was everyone else’s vision God would've given it to them. More than anything I’ve learned to trust in my specific journey, and my creativity.
Tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others.
If I had to use a word to describe myself I always say I’m "unyielding" meaning resilient, non-conforming, uneasily to be swayed, and not giving in to pressure. I know I’m not easily influenced by anyone except my own internal voice. I’m very much an original thinker. I take pride in my authentic Louisiana country self.
Who are some people you are influenced by?
Rihanna @CierraRamiez @Dr. Robin, They are girl bosses that inspire me the most! I look up to these women tremendously.
What advice would you like to give to all those followers that want to be where you are today?
Stay consistent. Growth takes time. It’ll happen but first, you have to believe. There is only one of you and that is your superpower!
What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
Honestly, it took me 5 years in LA to finally get to where I am now. Efforts finally paying off and big things happening. In 5 years I hope to be magnified even higher. My goal is to be on television starring in my show/ cooking show. One of my main goals is to open my own plant-based restaurant in my hometown. I want to share with my community that healthy eating can change your life.
