Sara Sara Lee Saleh | Photographer

Hello Sara, tell us about your journey and how you became who you are today?

I wasn’t the type of person who always knew they wanted to do photography, it’s something I sort of fell into. In college, I took a film photography class and I loved it. I later changed my major after that from accounting to photojournalism. I didn’t actually start doing photo shoots until years later and it sort of took off.

What in your personal life has influenced you to choose a life of being a creative?

I decided I never wanted to work for anyone again and I wanted to enjoy my work and still be able to enjoy life.

Which of your creative accomplishments gave you the most satisfaction, and why?

When I was able to turn a passion into a career. That was a big accomplishment for me. I never had the same day twice.

What is success for you?

Success is being in a position where you’re able to help others. When you wake up every day and love the life you live, the peace you have, and having the best people for you, around you.

2020 was a pressure cooker for us all… How did you deal with it? How did it affect your creativity personally and professionally?

I was really blessed during the pandemic. I had a spare room in my place that I set up as a studio. I got to learn how to get creative in a small studio environment and I got some really dope work I’m proud of during that time. I used it to my advantage.

Who are some people you are influenced by?

My social media feed is full of photographers I follow, I love looking at other people's work and style, a few are; Nima Benati, Endrit Mërtiri, Desiree Mattsson, Greg Swales, Perazna and probably a hundred more dope artists.

What do you want people to feel/learn/ or take away from viewing your art?

I want to make people feel beautiful. I want them to look at the photos and love themselves a little more.

Who do you want to work with most in the industry and why?

Rihanna! She’s my dream girl lol.

Now let’s have some fun and get to know you a bit more.

If you could have a conversation with any celebrity/public figure dead or alive who would it be?

2pac or Princess Diana

If you could have any other career what would it be?

A travel blogger sounds pretty awesome.

Favorite musician?

I can’t name one favorite but I’m an R&B type of girl
